Hedge Maintenance refers to the reduction, pruning or trimming of a hedge or shrub. Hedges need to be trimmed back for all different reasons including to remove deadwood and branches, for neatness if it’s growing out of control or for health and for safety reasons if it is alongside a road. 

Hedges are not like tree in that they need more regular maintenance, some need yearly cutting back to help them continue to grow. The time of year certain hedges need to be cut can vary depending on the type, position or the type of flower it produces.
